Category matching
Category matching is the first step in the matching process. A matched store category is an important condition for a product placed in such a category to proceed further in the matching process.
Automatic category matching
We automatically match all categories that are accurate from our category tree and products placed in such categories then further progress in the matching process. In the same way, we automatically match all categories that have been historically matched with your store.
Examples of automatically matched categories:
Heureka.cz | Auto-moto | Everything for motorbikes | Motorcycle spare parts | Motorcycle battery
Heureka.cz | Workshop, construction, garden | Workshop | Workshop equipment | Cleaning technology | Floor washing machines
Heureka.cz | Electronics | TV, audio, video | Accessories for TV, audio-video | TV Accessories | 3D glasses
Manual category matching
We manually match all categories that are new to us. If you send your own categories through the XML feed, make sure that the categorization paths are unique and correspond to the structure of the entire category tree. In case of ambiguity in the categorization path, we block such paths and all products under such categorization paths do not continue in the matching process.
Examples of incorrect categories:
Brand | Samsung (such a brand appears in the catalogue in plenty of categories)
Other | Strollers (can be for dolls, dogs or children)
Large Appliances | Washing machines and dryers (these categories are divided in our catalogue)
Footwear | Sports (in the catalogue we distinguish men’s, women’s and children’s categories)
You can find a list of unmatched categories and products under the Ignored Categories section.
